Year 2008 – A contemplation

Hello Friends,

So as all things come to an end, year 2008 also ended few days back, it was a wonderful year as i experienced a lot of new things, ;-)  Things that i have done never before but in year 2008, Deepak Arora got a lot more changed than in any other year before (*)  .

Its been best said that you should do a contemplation of how your previous year have gone for you, what were your goals, how much you have achieved your goals? Where did you succeeded more and where you need improvement? All such questions can be answered only when you do a self review of the year. So here is how 2008 went for me…

January 2008: This month was marked with only one thing, Fulltoo masti and enjoyment. As our MBA was almost about to complete :-[  we had nothing do but to enjoy with our friends, day and night, going here and there, parties enjoyment. But last sem Exams were also there in this month, so finally we opened our books 2 days before the exams and started reading them, but even then fultoo masti continued, even in the exam days going to eating snacks, tea, coldrinks in night 3 am continued, Everybody picked up there bikes and just jet set go. Also sold my bike for a loss of 9000 bucks this month. Overall this month was a good month.

February: February marked as a month of emotions, lots of friends leaving the college, friends that we may not see in long time to come, everybody going their separate ways, to go and live their dreams, friendship still continued to roll over my mind up and down. The farewell party was the best emotional happening for me, i never cried for any friend, but that day mood was set all for that, leaving friends going all their separate ways after living 2 happy years all came to an end. But life goes on so did I. Coming back to home was also a good experience in that month. Getting a high speed Internet connection was the first priority for me then, luckily got reliance and that was it. Nice speed so that began the area of Internet movies and masti.

March:  March marked as a month totally filled with wastage of time, watching tones of movies and sleepless nights, almost all the time using Internet and using it almost all the time, watching movies online, downloading them and watching TV shows online, this time of the year i watched prison break wonderful tv series it is very addictive series so once you start watching you can not resist it . overall March marked as an era of wasteful time, and nothing important happened.

April: Time wasting continued in the beginning of this month but in the second week went to a marriage of a relative and next 15 days were totally full of masti and enjoyment, had a trip again to Jaipur and Ahmadabad and had a party with old friends there it was an awesome experience, it looked like nothing has changed in the college just the faces that were there, first it was us, now it was our juniors becoming the seniors and enjoying. Overall April was the month in which something happened

May: Well well well my birthday month, what to say about this, it was a lot of happening week for me as finally our induction training was about to start my first job, it was a good month, lots and lots of excitement. first induction training then a weekend in rishikesh (first time river rafting, it was awesome (K)  , And after that getting our location. This was also the month in which i got my first ever salary, cooooooolllllll…..

June: June marked as a month of changes, I did my first air travel this month (U)  and it was great experience and i got the chance to live in a good 3 star hotel and 15 days in the bangalore after which i was transferred to chennai. So from delhi to bangalore and Bangalore to chennai all this month, lots and lots of happening but it was good experience for me.

July-Aug-Sept: These months have been the months of learning for me, as learning the organizational culture ;-)  how things goes around in offices, formally and unformally, learning new technologies and getting more and more knowledge about other things as well. These months also sees the birth of today’s prerna – a motivatonal newsletter which i used to send to my office and mba friends, some liked it other’s dont, but it is very useful thing, will explain about this some other time

So overall these 3 months counted as a great learning experience in professional terms.

Oct, Nov, Dec: These 3 months have been learning experience in terms of online website making is concerned learned more about the web,but since these 2 months i have been on bench so no great learning in professional sense but a lot of things happening on personal frontier. Again attended a cousin’s marriage but in october, and a friend’s marriage in december. Learning more about things online and got new ideas that i needed to implement (will tell about them to you when they take some physical shape

Again watching a lot of movies was inclueded in these months as well but as i was on bench so not to forget lots an lots of sleep too…..

So all in all the year was a good year, did not had any clear written goals, so no idea where i was and where i went this year but this year was marked by a lot of positive internal growth, confidence, enjoyment, friendships, emotional drama, depression sometimes too… all in all everything that should be there in life…

GoodBye 2008 and now welcome 2009 = 2+0+0+9 = 11 numerlogically that is my life number i guess, so this year will bring more luck to me than last year always remember if you think you are lucky you are, fake it till you make it always work (Y)  and i have faked it this much that i guess i have made it at least in this terms (well this is an idea for another post, will talk about it some other day)
